Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks, including school system payments.
- Help ensure timely and accurate payments across City departments.
- Manage City leases and handle related inquiries.
- Process bankruptcies and communicate updates to appropriate departments.
- Develop and monitor payment plans for residents and vendors.
- Prepare and balance the City Treasurer’s report.
- Process purchase requisitions and orders in support of the Purchasing Agent.
- Assist with property liability insurance claims involving the City.
- Keep the Assistant Finance Director informed of current developments.
Requirements include:
- A high school diploma with supplemental coursework in bookkeeping or accounting, plus 1 year experience with the preparation and maintenance of financial records; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and accounting software.
Pay and Benefits include:
• This position offers a pay rate range of $23.59- $29.40 per hour.
